I’ve been reading some SEO forums lately and notice threads of people scrabbling to figure out how to start building REAL quality backlinks since Google Penguin has put a damper on backlink spam. Thought I would offer some tips on getting valuable backlinks for cheap the Google Penguin loves.
1. You could purchase abandoned websites. Do a whois look up on them and offer them some money. Most of these site will have page rank and some authority built in.
2. Find bloggers who don’t know anything about Internet marketing. Contact them and offer to pay them $20 if they write up a post about your website.
3. Write blog posts on your niche site with quotes from influencers in your niche market. Follow their blogs, twitter accounts etc.. Most Influencers have Google Alerts setup for their name. They will get a notice that you are quoting and linking to them. Thus, many will start linking back to your blog about them. Once link from an authority in your niche market could turn the tide for your traffic. I’ve seen traffic go from 10 a day to 2000 per day over night because one influencer linked to them.
